They sure look pretty amazing. And admittedly they were pretty fun to make... But I wish they were every bit as awesome as the name suggests - these ones received a very halfhearted 'Meh' from both myself and Chris!
I actually made these ages and AGES ago, and have since being trying to convince myself to post photos and write about them. But they were not really that memorable (kind of bland actually) - even with the addition of cocoa powder to turn them into Choco-doodles. I think we ate a couple that night with a cuppa, and the rest sat neglected in the cookie tin for an unknown amount of time... until I found said tin in the cupboard one day and thought "Oh! I wonder what's in here?!"
Still... they look kinda pretty don't they? And they did kiiiiinda taste like a cinnamon donut, at a bit of a stretch. Maybe with a bit more cinnamon, and less/no cocoa powder. Who knows. Maybe one day I will try them again, but it the meantime there are some far more delicious recipes that I would rather use my precious baking time on!
