While scouring the magazine shelves at Whitcoulls (or Whit-cools, rather) I came across this lovely little cookbook, put out by Frankie Magazine. How exciting! Such amazing pictures, and so many delicious looking treats of a time-passed-by... flicking through this book made me nostalgic for the school gala stalls at Ohakune Primary, way back when I used to run around in bare feet and catch crickets in the grass.
Maybe a new cooking mission when I gain the title of Domestic Goddess? "School Gala Baking Queen" perhaps? Although... I might have to cut it down to 1 recipe every 1-2 months so we don't all get a major sugar overload. First things first though - I still have plenty of recipes to work through in my current assignment!
